The Eye
When healthy, all parts of the eye work together seamlessly, directing light toward a specific location at the back of the eye. From there it is converted to neural signals and transmitted to the brain to be interpreted as a clear image. This amazing process allows us to enjoy the world around us. However, a wide range of vision disorders can cause one or several parts of the eye to malfunction, compromising your vision. The more you understand about these vision disorders, the better able you are to protect your vision.
Ophthalmology LTD is committed to being the providers of total eye care, which includes educating our patients. We hope you find this information about some of the most common eye disorders helpful and that you contact our team if you have any questions.

Your Eye Exam
At Ophthalmology LTD, we use a wide variety of tests and procedures to examine your eyes. Depending on your specific needs, these tests may range from simple ones, like reading an eye chart, to complex tests, like visualizing the tiny structures inside your eyes using a high-powered lens.
A comprehensive eye exam can take an hour or more, depending on the doctor and the number and complexity of tests required to fully evaluate your vision and the health of your eyes.
