David R. West, MD

Dr. David West specialized in small-incision cataract surgery and pediatric ophthalmology, providing compassionate, comprehensive care to generations of patients and families throughout the region.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota and his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine before completing his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri. Richard T. Tschetter, MD – Founder of Ophthalmology Limited

Dr. Richard T. Tschetter founded Ophthalmology Limited in 1968 with a vision of bringing exceptional ophthalmic care to Sioux Falls and the surrounding region. Specializing in cataract surgery and glaucoma management, he established a standard of excellence that continues to guide the practice today.
Dr. Tschetter earned his bachelor’s degree from Huron College and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital before finishing his ophthalmology residency in Detroit, Michigan. His leadership laid the foundation for more than five decades of trusted patient care.
Charles W. Mohler, MD

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. After completing his ophthalmology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, he completed fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery through Johns Hopkins and the University of Iowa. Byron Hohm, MD

Dr. Byron Hohm specialized in corneal surgery, external eye diseases, and small-incision cataract surgery, serving patients with a thoughtful and highly specialized approach to eye care.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota and his medical degree from the University of Texas before completing his internship at Southwestern Hospital in Dallas and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri. He went on to complete fellowship training in corneal surgery and external diseases in Houston, Texas, bringing advanced expertise to patients across the region.
